Characteristics

• The Diamond shape identify the decision point.
• The decision shape has a defined criteria upon which next activity is executed.
• The decision criteria can be based upon the captured information from the process or on external source.
• The deicision is ideally performed through business rules engine but it can be performed by Human or Machine(component or function)
